Document Management for DistributionPlus

filing cabinets

Hours are wasted everyday, searching through files cabinets loaded with various documents contained on paper. Not only is time wasted sifting through the depths of file cabinets retrieving documents, but then those documents need to be refiled when they are no longer needed. Even worse… what happens if those documents are not filed correctly or lost, making it difficult to find those documents when they are needed again.?

Through the use of document management, those documents in your file cabinets can be become digital images for easy retrieval right from your computer.

The Document Management add-on for the DistributionPlus distribution software integrates document management with your DistributionPlus for easy access to all types of documents as they relate to your customers, vendors, and products.

Document Imaging and Storage for Better Productivity and Money Savings

document imaging

I would surmise that the lion’s share of companies out there, particularly the companies that are considered small companies, are still operating in environments where there are reems of paper shuffled about. All of this paper, in the form of reports, orders, purchase orders, product specifications, etc., is shuffled about is eventually stored away for future reference.

We have been internally testing a document imaging/storage product that integrates with our DistributionPlus software to prevent such environments. Countless hours have been saved by using the product, and we are excited to be able to offer a product like this to companies. A product that will save companies the kind of time that we have been experiencing.

Look for more details in the coming weeks as we introduce the docuent imaging/storage product.

Revolymer Chooses DistributionPlus for US Distribution Center

Revolymer, a polymer company based in the UK is the newest customer to join with CP Tech by incorporating DistributionPlus as the software for the distribution center in the United States.

The distribution center in Ohio will be the US distributor for their new launch of Rev7, a removable and degradable chewing gum. According to Chris Tamillo, VP, Sales & Marketing, the distribution center will start with the chewing gum and then will eventually bring in other consumer goods.

We knew that within weeks of the agreement the software had to be up and running, because key personnel from England were to be at the location in Ohio to join Tamillo for training on the software.

Revolymer contracted with CP Tech to take care of the hardware and networking for the new location as well. CP Tech staff were able to quickly build, set up the network, and install the equipment to accommodate an aggressive implementation and training schedule.

When asked why he chose DistributionPlus, Tamillo replied, “the software made common sense and was user friendly, with clean screens. There wasn’t a lot of complicated drill-downs on the screens. This was all important to me.
